On behalf of the board and myself, I want to thank you all for a wonderful season at Arsenal Canada.
This year was an extremely eventful year for us at Arsenal Canada; we grew our membership numbers, sent over 90 people to matches at the Emirates, saw more people watch the games at various pubs across this country, saw fantastic growth of our Facebook groups (both nationally and locally), launched a new website, and more.
Our fundamental goal at Arsenal Canada is to improve the fan experience for all Arsenal Supporters across Canada. Over the next three years we hope to add new pubs to our family, keep on improving our facebook groups, raise the profiles of Canadian Arsenal Social Media (Podcasts, Blogs, Video Sites, and more), keep sending more people to games in London, have more people participate in our Fantasy Leagues, improve our membership benefits, and of course keep growing the Arsenal Canada membership. All of which cannot be done without your continued support and participation.
As you all know, this summer is going to be exceptionally busy for us Arsenal Fans. We will see Arsenal play two games in California (the MLS All Star game in San Jose and Arsenal vs Chivas game in LA). If you got tickets from us, first off thank you, by getting your tickets through us you get to sit with thousands of Arsenal Fans from across the continent in our special section for both games. Arsenal, Puma, and other groups are planning fan events during that time, so please flip us a note (arsenalcanadasc (at) gmail.com) and we will make sure that you well aware of these events. If you are heading to those games but did not get tickets through us, don’t worry we got you covered for those events too. Send us a note (again at arsenalcanadasc (at) gmail.com) and you too will be made aware of these fan and club events. Add in the 100 year anniversary edition of the Copa America in the US (June 3-26) and the European Championships in France (June 10-July 10), there will be plenty of Arsenal this summer whether you plan to go to a match, watch on TV, or participate on our conversations on our Facebook pages. And that’s before we get to everyone’s “favorite”: transfers and transfer rumours.
Off the pitch, Arsenal Canada will making a few announcements this summer as well. We ask that you stay tuned to our website (www.arsenalcanada.ca), Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ArsenalCanada/), or Twitter Feed (www.twitter.com/arsenalcanadasc) for more details. As a teaser we are looking at a substantial improvement to our member benefits and the introduction of a contest to be hosted on our Instagram page, plus of course we will be launching Fantasy League for next season.
If you are still interested in heading to the Arsenal v Chivas de Guadalajara in Los Angeles on July 31st, there are still some tickets available. Signup today at www.arsenalcanada.ca/membership to get access to those Arsenal Fan Reserved Sections. Unfortunately, tickets to the MLS All-Star game in San Jose are fully sold out at this time.
Lastly, your feedback and participation with Arsenal Canada is more important than ever. We are constantly working on ideas and projects to better enhance the Arsenal Fan experience in Canada. Your ideas, passion, and involvement is always greatly appreciated. If you have an interest in opening a local branch, starting an online blog, hosting a charity event with fellow Arsenal Fans, or any other ideas please let us know, we are here to help. We have heard various members’ interest about participating in an AC online forum. All I can say at this time is that we are looking into it and we hope to have an update for you soon.
So please enjoy this summer, it truly promises to be an exceptional one for us Arsenal Fans in Canada and beyond.
And as always: Come on you Gunners!!!!
